Abbotsford, BC – September 2025: The Abbotsford Police Traffic Unit, in partnership with the Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE) team, conducted random mobile inspections of commercial vehicles across the city this past Tuesday.

During the operation, a total of 16 inspections were carried out, leading to significant enforcement actions:

  • 9 vehicles were taken out of service
  • 27 violation tickets were issued
  • 6 Notice & Orders were served
  • 1 driver received a four-month driving suspension

Police say the enforcement initiative is part of ongoing efforts to keep Abbotsford’s roads safe and ensure commercial vehicles comply with legal and safety standards.

“AbbyPD is grateful for our continued partnership with CVSE in promoting road safety,” the department stated, emphasizing that such joint operations are key to preventing collisions and ensuring safe commercial transportation.
