White Rock, BC – Dog licences in the City of White Rock are valid from January 1 to December 31 each year. Licence Renewal Invoices are mailed out annually in early November, with renewal payments due by January 1. Residents are encouraged to make their payments online for convenience.
Under the City of White Rock Animal Control and Licensing Bylaw, 2012 (Bylaw No. 1959), all dogs over four months of age living in White Rock must have a valid licence. Licensing helps protect pets by ensuring the City has up-to-date owner contact and identification information, allowing lost dogs to be quickly reunited with their families.
Residents registering a dog for the first time must provide basic details, including the dog’s name, breed, colour, sex, and a photograph. Reduced licence rates are available for spayed or neutered dogs; applicants must submit a Spay/Neuter Certificate or documentation from a veterinarian confirming the procedure.
Some licence applications must be completed in person, including those for BC Guide and Service Dogs and dogs deemed aggressive.
