Surrey, B.C. – A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a hit-and-run incident near Holland Park on Sunday night, according to the Surrey Police Service (SPS).
The incident occurred shortly after 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of Old Yale Road and Mall Access, where police say the young pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The driver did not remain at the scene.
In a statement, SPS confirmed that the injured boy was transported to hospital for treatment. The vehicle involved was later located near 104 Avenue and Whalley Boulevard around 2:00 a.m. Monday morning. The driver was arrested for impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
