White Rock, BC- With the start of the new year, the City of White Rock is reminding residents that 2026 parking decals and resident parking permits are now available. Permits can be purchased online or in person at City Hall.
Resident Parking Permits are valid only in “Permit Parking Only” areas, specifically on the block printed on the front of the permit and the next adjacent block. These permits may be used by residents or their visitors and must be clearly displayed by hanging them from the vehicle’s rear-view mirror, with the address side facing outward, to avoid enforcement action.
Vehicles parked in Permit Parking Only areas without a visible permit may be ticketed or, in some cases, towed at the owner’s expense. The City notes that resident parking permits are not valid in Pay Parking zones or Time-Limited Parking areas and are only valid for the calendar year printed on the permit.
All other City bylaws continue to apply when using a permit, including regulations such as not parking on City property for more than 72 consecutive hours. The City also cautions that parking spaces are limited and availability is not guaranteed at any given time.
To purchase a Resident Parking Permit, applicants must provide a valid British Columbia driver’s license showing a current White Rock address. Parking permits are non-refundable. For reference, 2025 Resident Parking Permits were priced at $16 for the first two permits and $35 each for the third and fourth permit, plus GST.
