Ontario, California – A devastating multi-vehicle collision on the westbound I-10 Freeway near the I-15 interchange has left three people dead and four others injured after a semi-truck driver allegedly high on drugs slammed into slowed traffic without braking.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) identified the driver as 21-year-old Jashanpreet Singh, who was taken into custody at the scene. Dashcam footage captured the harrowing moment the truck plowed into vehicles, sparking a fiery chain-reaction crash.
One of the victims has been identified as a 54-year-old man. The other two victims were burned beyond recognition, authorities said.
Investigators confirmed the truck showed no signs of braking before impact. Singh has been booked into the West Valley Detention Center and now faces multiple charges, including vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence of drugs.
