Targeted Shooting at North Delta Home Under Investigation

Delta,BC- Delta Police are investigating a targeted shooting at a residence in North Delta early Wednesday morning.

On January 7, 2026, at approximately 5:10 a.m., patrol officers responded to reports of shots fired at a home near 84 Avenue and Brooke Road. The residence was occupied at the time of the incident; however, police confirmed that no one was injured.

Investigators believe the shooting is connected to an ongoing extortion investigation. The Delta Police Major Crime Section has taken conduct of the case and is working closely with partner law enforcement agencies.

Police are asking anyone with information related to the incident, including dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the shooting, to come forward. Anyone with details is urged to contact Delta Police at 604-946-4444, quoting file number 26-365, or to provide information anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca.

The investigation remains ongoing.
