Surrey, B.C. – Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers are investigating an early morning shooting that left a vehicle damaged outside a residence in Newton.

The incident happened shortly after 4:00 a.m. in the 5800-block of 124 Street, where frontline officers responded to reports of possible gunfire. Upon arrival, police found a parked vehicle with damage consistent with bullet holes.

Several residents were interviewed at the scene, but no injuries were reported.

Police say officers remain in the area this morning to gather evidence and canvass the neighbourhood for surveillance footage. The case has now been turned over to SPS’s Frontline Investigative Support (FLIS) Team, which is working to determine a motive and any potential links to other incidents.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses, dashcam or CCTV footage. Anyone with information is asked to call 604-599-0502 and quote file number 25-77900 (SP).
