Surrey, B.C. – July 21, 2025: Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers are investigating a shooting incident that targeted a business in the Payal Business Centre early Monday morning.

Police were called to the Royal King Banquet Hall, located in the 8100-block of 128 Street, shortly before 11:00 a.m. on July 21. Staff first discovered damage to the exterior of the building around 1:00 a.m. that same day.

Upon arrival, SPS officers confirmed the damage was likely caused by gunfire. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection to the incident, and surrounding properties were also unaffected.

At this time, it is unclear whether the banquet hall was the intended target or when exactly the shots were fired. The Front Line Investigative Support Team (FLIS) has taken over the investigation, which remains in its early stages.

Police are actively looking into potential connections to other incidents and possible motives.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Surrey Police non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and reference file number 25-60665 (SP).
