Surrey,BC- Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating an overnight shooting at a residence in the Panorama Ridge neighbourhood that caused property damage but left no one injured.
Police say officers were called to reports of shots fired at approximately 12:50 a.m. on January 15, 2026, in the 13400 block of 56 Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a residence and a vehicle that had been damaged as a result of the shooting.
The SPS Frontline Investigative Support Team (FLIST) attended the scene, and the investigation has since been taken over by the SPS Major Crime Section. Investigators say the case is still in its early stages, and evidence is continuing to be collected.
While the motive has not yet been confirmed, police believe the shooting may be connected to an ongoing series of extortion-related incidents in Surrey.
Anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, or anyone who may know the identity of those involved, is asked to contact SPS non-emergency at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca. Please quote file number 26-4746 (SP).
