
Surrey, December 16 — The Surrey Police Service (SPS) has arrested a man wanted on more than 30 Criminal Code and related charges following a coordinated interprovincial investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
SPS confirmed that on October 29, 2025, the Calgary Police Service requested assistance in locating and arresting a suspect believed to be in the Surrey area. The investigation was led locally by SPS’s Prolific Offenders Team, which worked closely with the Calgary Police Service, the Alberta Provincial Crown, and the RCMP’s E Division Fugitive Return Program.
On December 11, 2025, SPS officers located the suspect in Burnaby, where he was taken into custody without incident. He was subsequently remanded into custody and is awaiting transport back to Calgary by the Alberta Sheriffs Branch.
The accused has been identified as 39-year-old Tyler Joshua Evoy, who was arrested on outstanding warrants related to numerous offences. These include multiple counts of criminal harassment, multiple counts of distributing an intimate image without consent, and several counts of failing to comply with court orders.
SPS emphasized the importance of interagency cooperation in apprehending individuals wanted on serious charges and ensuring public safety across jurisdictions.
