Surrey, BC – A homicide investigation is underway in Surrey after a shooting Tuesday evening left one man dead and another injured.

At approximately 6:55 p.m. on April 28, 2026, frontline officers with the Surrey Police Service responded to reports of shots fired into a vehicle in the 6800 block of 148 Street.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by BC Emergency Health Services and Surrey Fire Service, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second adult male was also located and transported to hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.
