Ottawa, ON – In a forceful response to US President Donald Trump’s new tariffs on Canadian exports, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced a 25% tariff on $155 billion worth of American goods, with $30 billion on Tuesday and $125 billion in 21 days.
Items include beer, wine, bourbon, fruits, fruit juices, vegetables, clothes, perfume, household appliances, plastic, lumber, and more.
The Prime Minister also urged Canadians to ‘buy Canadian’ and support local industries to counter the impact of US trade restrictions. Trudeau encouraged Canadians to vacation at home rather than in the U.S.
Trump’s decision to impose a 25% tariff on Canadian goods has reignited tensions between the two nations, with businesses on both sides of the border bracing for economic fallout.
The Canadian government is expected to release a full list of targeted American goods in the coming days. Meanwhile, industry leaders are calling for diplomatic talks to de-escalate the growing trade war.

Right and fully justified response. It seems like we loosing hand on True Democracy in USA.
