Brampton, ON — Peel Regional Police have charged three Brampton men in connection with an extortion investigation involving a shooting at a local business.

On April 30, 2025, officers responded to reports of gunfire at a commercial property in the area of Queen Street and Kennedy Road South. No individuals were inside the premises at the time of the incident. However, the business owner soon began receiving threatening messages demanding money from an unknown source.

Following a comprehensive investigation involving multiple specialized units — including surveillance, community incident response, and tactical teams — three suspects were identified and arrested on May 1.

The accused are:

  • Harpal Singh, 34
  • Rajnoor Singh, 20
  • Eknoor Singh, 22

All three have been charged with extortion and are currently being held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

“Our investigators are relentless, and we will use every tool available at our disposal to identify, arrest, and hold those who commit these offences accountable,” said Deputy Chief Marc Andrews. “No business owner should have to live in fear for doing honest work.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at 905-453-2121, ext. 2233 or provide anonymous tips through Peel Crime Stoppers.
