Surrey, BC – In a significant breakthrough, the Surrey RCMP Drug Unit has seized a substantial quantity of illicit drugs, illegal firearms, and cash following a months-long investigation into a drug trafficking network operating in the region.
The investigation, initiated in August 2023, focused on a suspected drug trafficking group believed to be based in Surrey. After gathering critical evidence, the Surrey RCMP executed an initial search warrant on October 17, 2023, at a residence in the 7400-block of 184 Street, Surrey.
The investigation expanded, leading to the identification of four additional locations. On January 31, 2024, search warrants were executed at the following addresses:
– Residence in the 19400-block of 68th Avenue, Surrey;
– Residence in the 9100-block of 152nd Street, Surrey;
– Residence in the 2100-block of Kelly Avenue, Coquitlam; and
– Storage unit in the 1100-block of Kingsway Avenue, Coquitlam.
During the search operations, four individuals were arrested. They have been released pending further investigation. The RCMP Drug Unit is continuing to advance the investigation and will be submitting a report to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada with recommendations for charges.
The following items were seized during the searches:
– 2.5 kilograms of methamphetamine;
– 30 liters of GBL (GHB);
– 1.5 kilograms of cocaine;
– 430 grams of fluorofentanyl;
– $116,000 in cash;
– A bulletproof vest;
– 6 firearms; and
– Four vehicles, including a 2024 Range Rover, a 2019 Acura RDX, a 2014 Dodge Durango, and a 2004 Ford F350.

says Surrey RCMP Media Relations Officer, Cpl. Sarbjit K. Sangha. It is believed that this group was supplying street level drug traffickers with cocaine, methamphetamine, fluorofentanyal and GHB throughout Surrey, Langley and Coquitlam.
