
Surrey- The Surrey RCMP reported a robbery at a business on 120th Street near 92nd Avenue early Friday evening. According to a news release, two masked men entered the business around 5:30 p.m., spoke with an employee, and stole a cell phone before fleeing in a vehicle. The suspects appeared to have firearms.
Punjabi journalist Gurpreet Singh Sahota reported on X: “An immigration consultant in Surrey was threatened by two gunmen in his office. They were asking him why he hadn’t been answering their boss’s phone. He said he had received a phone call a few weeks ago demanding a ransom. They took his cell phone. The whole episode was recorded on CCTV, and he has already reported it to the police.”
Police stated that no one was injured in the incident, which appears to be targeted. The investigation is in its early stages, and the motive is currently unknown. Authorities are conducting CCTV canvassing in the area.
