
Vancouver-Two individuals were seriously injured when a plane collided with a boat during takeoff in Vancouver’s Coal Harbour. The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) reported that a Harbour Air seaplane struck a pleasure boat in the water around 1 p.m. PT. The Port of Vancouver later confirmed the incident on Saturday afternoon.
Vancouver Fire Rescue stated that, despite their serious injuries, the two individuals are not in life-threatening condition. Assistant Fire Chief Walter Pereira noted that four people were aboard the boat at the time of the crash, which occurred just before 1 p.m.; the other two passengers were unharmed. No injuries were reported among those on the plane.
