Vancouver-Three new polls released today reveal a close contest between the BC NDP  and the BC Conservative Party  (CPBC) as the provincial election draws near.

According to the ‘Angus Reid Institute’ the NDP leads with 45%, followed closely by the CPBC at 44%, while the Green Party (GRN) holds 10%. In contrast, ‘Léger’s poll’ shows the CPBC slightly ahead with 45%, the NDP at 43%, and the GRN also at 10%. Lastly, ‘Mainstreet Research’ gives the CPBC a narrow lead at 44%, with the NDP at 42% and the Green Party at 9%. A poll this size would have a margin of error of plus-or-minus 3.1 per cent, 19 times out of 20.

These polls highlight a competitive race, with both major parties vying for the top spot, while the Green Party maintains a modest but stable presence.

British Columbians are scheduled to head to the polls on Oct. 19. However, advance voting is slated for Oct. 10-13, 15 and 16.
