Surrey, BC — Mandeep Dhaliwal has been appointed as the Leaders’ Chair for South Asian Outreach by the Conservative Party of British Columbia, marking a significant step in strengthening the party’s engagement with diverse communities.
Expressing gratitude for the new role, Dhaliwal said he is “thankful to the Conservative Party of British Columbia for trusting my potential” and added that he is “truly grateful for the opportunity.”
Dhaliwal highlighted his journey within the party, noting that he joined at a time when it held just 5% of candidates. “From the very beginning I believed in the leadership and the vision. It means a lot to now be given this responsibility,” he said in an interview with Surrey News.
As part of his new role, Dhaliwal emphasized his commitment to meaningful engagement. “I will do my best to represent and connect with the South Asian community with sincerity, respect, and dedication. I look forward to contributing meaningfully and building strong relationships,” he added.
Currently serving as the MLA for Surrey-North, Dhaliwal is also the Official Opposition critic for sports and parental rights.
The appointment is seen as part of the party’s broader efforts to expand its outreach and strengthen ties with key communities across British Columbia.
