Surrey, BC  — The North Community Response Unit (NCRU) executed two significant search warrants in the 12200-block of Industrial Road as part of an ongoing investigation into a property identified as a problem residence since spring 2024. The investigations have led to the seizure of drugs, firearms, explosives, and stolen property, along with multiple arrests.

On August 22, 2024, the NCRU, with assistance from the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (IERT), executed the first search warrant, resulting in the arrest of twelve individuals and the seizure of the following items:
– 500 grams of suspected illicit drugs;
– $10,000 in cash;
– Four handguns, including a 3D-printed gun;
– Various ammunition and prohibited magazines;
– Radio jammers;
– Two stolen vehicles;
– Stolen license plates;
– Three duffel bags containing 16 firearms;
– Approximately 30 pounds of explosives.

Following further investigation into drug trafficking activities at the property, NCRU executed a second warrant on September 10, 2024, with IERT assistance due to safety concerns arising from the previous firearms and explosives seizure. Eight individuals were arrested and later released. Items seized during the second search included:
– $3,160 in cash;
– 830 grams of suspected methamphetamine;
– 600 grams of cannabis;
– 32 vials of prescription opioids;
– 120 various pills;
– 1,177 rounds of ammunition;
– A silencer;
– Three long guns, one without a stock;
– Two crossbows and several authentic airsoft handguns.

The investigation remains ongoing as officers process all seized items and prepare a report for Crown Counsel. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
