
Montreal: The police are investigating the incident of vandalizing the building of Immigration Minister Marc Miller’s riding office in Sud-Quest borough.
According to information, the building was reportedly vandalized on Wednesday night and the police were called to the office on Thursday morning when someone noticed damaged windows and a paint sprayed in front of the building.
It is believed that it is an act of pro-Palestinian demonstrators who demonstrated at the building on Saint-Jacques Street near Atwater Avenue.
The Immigration Minister has confirmed the incident on X, stating “During the night, my riding office in downtown Montreal was vandalized.” “This is a criminal act, which I condemn unequivocally.”
He wrote on social media that his teams are safe and unharmed, which is the most important.
He said the SPVM and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have been notified.
In the recent past, the riding office of the Immigration Minister has witnessed several demonstrations.
