Surrey, BC – In a significant move against street-level drug trafficking, the Surrey RCMP Drug Unit, with support from the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Surrey RCMP Gang Enforcement Team (SGET), executed search warrants at two Surrey homes on October 17, 2024. The operation, targeting a dial-a-dope network, resulted in the arrest of three male suspects and the seizure of various illegal substances and cash.
The investigation began in March 2024 when a tip from a member of the public informed Surrey RCMP of a phone line allegedly selling illicit drugs. Using multiple investigative techniques, officers were able to identify the suspects involved in the drug trafficking operation.
Search warrants were executed in the 16000-block of 16 Avenue and the 13600-block of 100 Avenue, leading to the seizure of the following items:
– 4 oz of suspected Fentanyl
– 2.5 oz of suspected Cocaine
– 1.5 oz of suspected Methamphetamine
– $5,585 in cash
– 2 cellphones
The investigation remains active, with forensic examination and lab analysis of the seized substances underway. Surrey RCMP will submit a report to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, recommending charges against the suspects.
