Amritsar, January 24- The Char Sahibzade MRI and CT Scan Center was inaugurated today at Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Matunga, Mumbai, under the management of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). The event was graced by Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Giani Sultan Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib Giani Baldev Singh, SGPC member Gurinder Singh Bawa, President of Takht Sri Patna Sahib Management Committee Jagjot Singh, OSD of SGPC Satbir Singh Dhami, Jasbir Singh Dham, and other prominent personalities.
SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami highlighted the organization’s commitment to public welfare and announced the launch of this center dedicated to the four Sahibzadas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. He stated that the center would offer MRI, CT scan, and X-ray services to economically weaker sections for a nominal fee of just ₹10.
Additionally, medicines will be provided at 25% lower prices than market rates through the pharmacy operated under the name Guru Nanak Mission 1313. Medical blood tests will also be conducted at rates 50% cheaper than the market standard.
The SGPC President also announced that Granthis and other Gurdwara employees from Mumbai and surrounding areas would receive these services for the minimal charge of ₹10. He commended SGPC member Gurinder Singh Bawa from Maharashtra for his significant contributions to this project, which, he said, would enhance the reputation of the Sikh body.
The inauguration ceremony also saw the presence of Dr. Jasbir Kaur Makkar, Director Admin of Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Harmeet Singh Saluja, and several others. The event marked a significant step towards providing affordable and accessible healthcare to the community.
