Abbotsford, B.C. – Abbotsford Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left bullet holes in the front window of a local business on King Road early Wednesday morning.

At approximately 6:40 a.m., Abbotsford Police Patrol officers responded to the 31000 block of King Road after receiving a report of suspected gunfire damage. Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a shooting had occurred in the early morning hours, though no injuries were reported as the business was closed at the time.

Investigators are now working with the business owners to determine a possible motive, which remains unclear.

Police are appealing to the public for assistance. Anyone who was in the King Road area between Townline Road and Clearbrook Road between midnight and 4 a.m., or who may have dashcam footage or witnessed suspicious activity, is asked to contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
