
Surrey, B.C. – Surrey Police Service is investigating a shots-fired incident in Surrey’s Newton neighbourhood after a homeowner discovered bullet holes in his residence.
Police say that on March 16, 2026, at approximately 11:55 a.m., frontline officers responded to a home in the 7500 block of 126A Street after the homeowner reported damage to his front door and window consistent with gunfire. The complainant did not hear or witness the shooting at the time.
According to investigators, neighbours and CCTV footage later confirmed that the shots were fired earlier in the morning, at approximately 4:45 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing, with officers from Integrated Forensic Identification Services and Frontline Investigative Support assisting in gathering evidence.
Police say there is currently no indication that the incident is connected to recent extortion-related cases in the region.
