Surrey, B.C. – A 28-year-old man has been charged following a Surrey Police Service investigation into an alleged assault involving a female youth in the Cedar Hills neighbourhood of Surrey. Police say the incident occurred on February 6, 2026, around 6:00 p.m. near 99 Avenue and 123 Street. The SPS Special Investigation Section later took over the case, and on February 13 the BC Prosecution Service approved charges of forcible confinement and assault against the suspect. He has been released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on March 20, 2026. Investigators are also examining whether the accused may be linked to similar incidents in the Whalley area.
