Surrey: RCMP is investigating the death of a woman inside a residence in the area of 76 Avenue and 142 Street.
According to the RCMP, frontline officers responded to the incident after receiving information on April 26 at approximately 8:30 pm.
The Mounties said frontline officers with assistance from the Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit, located the 33-year-old female victim.
“This is an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety at this time,” the police said in a statement.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will assist the Surrey RCMP in the investigation.
“Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase; no further information will be provided at this time,” the RCMP said.
