Victoria — B.C. Premier David Eby announced the birth of his third child, Gwendolyn Kay Eby, on Thursday afternoon. In a heartfelt social media post, Eby shared that his new daughter was named after his great grandmother, who was born in the Prairies and later moved to Victoria.
“Everyone is happy and healthy,” Eby wrote, expressing gratitude to the obstetrics team and the nursing and hospital staff for their exceptional work.
This announcement comes shortly after Eby kicked off an early pre-election campaign last week. While the provincial election is still months away, Eby stated that he wanted to get the ball rolling before taking some time off to spend with his family.
