
Peel Region, Ontario – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged five individuals in connection to a series of violent extortion incidents that occurred in the Region of Peel and the Greater Toronto Area. These incidents, reported between December 2023 and May 2024, involved the suspects allegedly assaulting, threatening, and discharging firearms to extort victims.
As a result of the thorough investigation, the following individuals have been arrested and charged with various criminal offences:

– **Beant Dhillon**, 51, from Brampton:

– Utter Threats
– **Arundeep Thind**, 39, of unknown address:
– Assault
– Forcible Confinement
– Extortion
– **Mustapha Alawiye**, 32, from Mississauga:

– **Kymani Hassakourinas**, 32, from Mississauga:

All individuals were held for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. The Peel Regional Police continue to investigate and urge anyone with additional information to come forward.
