Surrey, BC – A new Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC) is set to open in South Surrey on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, improving access to timely healthcare for residents in Surrey and nearby communities. Located at 1711 152 St., the 931-square-metre facility will operate seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., including holidays.
The centre will provide urgent, non-emergency care within 12 to 24 hours for conditions such as sprains, minor infections, and cuts requiring stitches, with on-site medical imaging services available. Using a team-based care model, the UPCC is expected to handle approximately 57,000 patient visits annually through in-person and virtual care.
While the centre will not assign patients to family doctors, it will help individuals register for ongoing care through the Health Connect Registry. Officials say the new facility will ease pressure on emergency departments and bring care closer to home for the rapidly growing South Surrey community.
