
Langley: RCMP is investigating an apparent shooting incident in the Willoughby area.
According to Mounties, officers found a man with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
“At approximately 6:30 am on Tuesday, Langley RCMP responded to a report from British Columbia Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) of a man on the side of the road with injuries consistent with those of a gunshot. Frontline Officers responded to 20400 block of 68th Avenue and located BCEHS with the man,” the RCMP said.
The police said the man was conscious and breathing and transported to hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
“The initial investigation has revealed the location the man was located at may have not been the location of the incident,” the RCMP said.
Officers are canvassing neighborhood areas and speaking with witnesses to obtain further information.
The police said the investigation is still in its early stages and they are working to determine the location and possible motive for the shooting.
