
Surrey, B.C. – The City of Surrey is set to open early registration for its highly regarded preschool programs for the 2025-2026 school year. Running from February 4 to 6, the registration process will be available online, by phone, and in person.
Recognized with the Province of BC’s Child Care Award of Excellence, Surrey’s licensed preschool programs cater to children aged 3 to 5 years. With 17 locations citywide and some of the lowest fees in the region, the programs provide play-based learning guided by certified Early Childhood Educators.
“The City of Surrey’s s preschool programs encourage each child to explore, create, and grow in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment,” said Mayor Brenda Locke. “With affordability and accessibility at the forefront, we invite residents to take full advantage of this award-winning program.”
Early Registration Schedule (7:30 a.m. start time):
Tuesday, February 4: Fleetwood, Guildford, Fraser Heights
Wednesday, February 5: Cloverdale, Whalley
Thursday, February 6: South Surrey, Newton
Laurie Cavan, General Manager of Parks, Recreation, and Culture, emphasized the program’s commitment to fostering lifelong learning. “Our responsive programs align with the BC Ministry of Education Curriculum, setting children up for future success.”
Parents are encouraged to prepare in advance by creating or updating a MySurrey account and adding a family member to the account if needed.
Financial support is offered through the Affordable Child Care Benefit for licensed programs, along with monthly payment plans.
